2010 LATE MODEL RULES
Any Driver Competing in the Late Model Division must have a valid Driver’s license or learner’s permit.
¤ BLOCK: Cast iron only. 362 cubic inch max.
¤ HEADS: Steel, GM 23 degree - Ford 10 degree
¤ CRANK: Any steel crank. 49.5 lbs minimum weight. Will be weighed with gear and keyway
¤ RODS: No titanium or aluminum rods.
¤ PISTONS: Any flat top pistons and pins. Cannot come out of block.
¤ CAM: Flat Tappet Lifters, no mushroom or ceramic. OEM diameter only. Chevy .842, Ford .875, Chrysler .903 Roller Cam Add 50 lbs.
¤ VALVE: Max intake 2.05 & exhaust 1.60. Stem 11/32 minimum. No titanium.
¤ INTAKE / CARBURETOR: Any 1 four barrel permitted. GAS ONLY.
¤ IGNITION: Any point or electronic ignition. (No traction control).
¤ TIRES: Track approved REAR Tire Rule Only. American Racer MD-56, Hoosier D55 or 1600. RR tire must durometer 60. Optional: LR tire American Racer SD-48
¤ BODY: Lucas body rules. All cars must have windshield bars.
¤ WEIGHT: 2350 lbs.- Roller Cam add 50lbs.- Dry Sump add 75lbs.- Wet Sump with external oil pump add 50lbs. Weight must be posted on right side A-post.
¤ STROKE: Stock 3.50" stroke with .005" tolerance. Other than stock 3.50" stroke, add 75lbs.
¤ 2011: ALL motors must be stock, 3.50" stroke.
¤ CRATE MOTOR Option: Motor must meet all GM specs and will be teched using GM Crate manual. May run any valve spring, must use factory retainers. Heads may be re-surfaced .010 for re-build. Seal bolts not required.
Everything else must remain GM Crate Stock! 602 - 2100lbs. 604 - 2200lbs. 12X32” Left sideboard - Max 8” Spoiler. Any Tire.
(TRACK RETAINS RIGHT to adjust weight & let any CAR RACE & WEIGHT / RULES may be ADJUSTED TO EQUAL COMPETITION)
PROTEST: ¤ $400 to pull (1) Head & Bore ¤ COMPLETE to bottom $600 ¤ Visual: $100 (Track Retains 1/3)
