2010 STREET STOCK RULES
BODY: ¤ American rear wheel drive only. ¤ Steel or aluminum stock style bodies. ¤ Must look like car you are claiming. ¤ Minimum wheel base 108 inches. ¤ Car must have stock floor pan under the drivers seat. ¤ Firewall may be cut to a minimum for clearance purposes. ¤ All glass and plastics must be removed. ¤ Must have legible numbers on both sides. ¤ 6 inch spoiler no wider than deck lid. ¤ Late model style sideboards. Lucas dimensions. Maximum 3.
ROLL CAGE: ¤ Cage must have six points welded to frame. ¤ Minimum of three drivers door bars and three bars in passengers door. ¤ Must have four windshield bars and bar behind the driver for proper positioning of the seat belt harness.
SUSPENSION/STEERING: ¤ All components must be in stock location. ¤ Stock appearing shocks must be mounted within 6 inches of original position. ¤ One shock per wheel. ¤ Stock appearing springs front and rear (coil or leaf) five inch minimum coil. ¤ Leaf springs may run sliders. ¤ May run adjustable spring buckets or weight jacks. ¤ Springs must match car you are claming. ¤ May run aftermarket upper control arm in original position. ¤ Remainder of suspension must be stock
REAR END: ¤ Any O.E.M. ¤ No quick change. ¤ No wide five hubs. ¤ Disc brakes ok. ¤ Must have steel calipers. ¤ Panhard bar ok. Top link must be solid. No J-bars, pull or lift bars.
TRANSMISSION: ¤ OEM Automatic or straight shift. ¤ Automatic must have working converter. ¤ No direct drives. No valve pedals.
CLUTCH: May run racing clutch. No carbon or exotic materials clutch. No RAM couplers.
FUEL: ¤ Gas only. ¤ Top pick-up fuel cell mandatory with at least (2) 2" by "1/8" steel straps. ¤ No electrical fuel pumps.
IGNITION: Stock type, H.E.I. or points type. No MSD type boxes.
WEIGHT: Minimum of 3200 lb.
WHEELS: Steel only. 10 inches wide max. Bead locks ok.
TIRES: Track tires only. American Racer EC2 or Last Years AR Spec Tire (must durometer 60 before race)
TIRE/WHEEL Option: Volunteer Rules- 8” wheel D.O.T. Street Tire - 3000 lbs.
ENGINE: ¤ 360 cubic inch. ¤ Headers allowed. ¤ Dual plane intake or O.E.M. cast iron. No modifications to inside of intake. ¤ You may run Edelbrock # Chevrolet - #2101 Vortec #2166 Ford - 302 #2121, 351W #2181, 351C 2b #2750, 351 4b #2655 Mopar - #2176 ¤ Other versions of a performer may be used. Must be ok'd by tech.
CARBURATOR: ¤ Quadrajet, Holley 650 vacuum secondary or 500 cfm 2 barrel. ¤ Choke flat may be removed. ¤ No cutting, grinding, or polishing. ¤ No race type carb. ¤ No double pumpers CARB/INTAKE Option: Any carb/intake add 100 lbs. ¤ OEM cast iron heads only. ¤ No modifications. No exceptions. ¤ Vortec heads add 100 lbs ¤ May be cut for screw in studs & guide plates. ¤ Stainless steel valves allowed. NO Titanium ¤ Any valve springs. NO titanium. ¤ Stock size valves only that came in head. ¤ ARP HEAD BOLTS OK. ¤ Any hydraulic cam allowed. No roller cam. No mushroom lifters. ¤ Flat top piston only. Piston cannot protrude above block deck.
CRANK: ¤ Any - 49.5 lb minimum weight ¤ Stock type steel rods. ¤ I beam only ¤ Stock length for engine you are claiming ¤ No cap screws ¤ Rough casting only ¤ OEM cast iron blocks only. ¤ No bowtie blocks allowed. ¤ May over bore and use ARP main bolts and oil screens. ¤ Decking of block surface allowed. ¤ No part of the piston may protrude above the deck of the block. ¤ May run aftermarket oil pans ¤ No windage trays or crank scrapers ¤ Stock style oil pump.
ANYTHING NOT MENTIONED MUST REMAIN STOCK *** If it doesn't say you can...you can't ! ***
PROTEST: ¤ Track retains 30% of protest. You can only protest the car in front of you. ¤ $350 to pull one head. (cam, carb, intake, bore, & stroke) ¤ $400 for bottom end. (49.5 crank minimum, rods, bore, & stroke) ¤ $100 visual (complete car-hood and trunk lids are the only thing removed) ¤ Protest must be made within 5 minutes of race completion.
