2010 TOPLESS MODIFIED RULES
THIS CLASS is intended for older late chassis as an affordable class.
** LATE MODEL DRIVER CAN NOT RACE IN this CLASS the same night. **
CHASSIS:
Has to be approved before it can be raced, newer than 8 years old probably won't be approved.
BODY:
Dimensions: 76" wide, maximum 36" tall, maximum spoiler 8" - Lucas Side panels - maximum of 3.
¤ No Tops.
¤ No Front Fenders.
¤ No LM type noses.
¤ Safety netting may be used on top hoop.
ENGINE: 602 Crate must remain factory: Set BACK 6"
OPTION: GM 358 cu" stock type steel heads block/crank & rods. Pistons flat top. Crank min. weight 49.5 lbs. Must have GM CAM P/N24502476 factory Stock with stock type hydraulic lifters.
WEIGHT:
2400lbs minimum
CARBURETOR:
Gas only. FUEL CELL mandatory. No Electric Pumps.
HEADERS:
$300 retail max new.
IGNITION:
Any point or electronic ignition.
SHOCKS:
NO ADJUSTABLE PERIOD- BUY RULE $150.00
REAR END/TRANSMISSION/CLUTCH/SUSPENSION:
Any.
DRIVE SHAFT:
Steel.
TIRES:
Track approved Tire Rule Only 60 durometer.
WHEEL:
Steel 10" max.
TRUE IMCA/UMP OPEN WHEEL MODIFIED CHASSIS:
¤ Must meet above engine and body rules. May run track tire or legal 8” OW modified tire.
¤ Weight: minimum 2300lbs.
¤ Track reserves the right to make adjustments to equal competition or let any car race.
